The Divinity of Jesus Christ: Understanding His True Nature
One of the foundational truths of Christianity is that Jesus Christ is God. This is clearly stated in the Bible, “IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD WAS GOD.” (John 1:1).
Jesus, the God-Man
Jesus was not just a man sent from God; He was God manifest in the flesh. This truth is crucial because if Jesus was only a man, His life could only provide a substitute for another man. However, Jesus left heaven and dwelled in a human body, demonstrating the depth of God’s love for us. He humbled Himself and took the form of a servant, suffering the same temptations and pressures that we face.
“For we do not have a High priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” – Hebrews 4:15
This aspect of Jesus’ nature allows Him to deeply understand and care for us in our struggles.

Scriptural Foundation
“For by grace you have been saved, through faith—this is not from you, it is the gift of God—it is not by works, so no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8
This verse, in the original language, emphasizes that our salvation comes by grace through faith, a gift from God, not by works, to ensure no one can boast.
The theme in the Zulu language, from which this verse originates, is:
“Ngokuba ngoMUSA nisindisiwe, ngokukHOLWA, lokhu akuveli kini, kodwa KUYISIPHO sikaNkulunkulu, futhi akuvi NGEMISEBENZI, funa kube khona ozibongayo.” Efesu 2:8
