My Life Motto:

"BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED."

Theme Scripture:

"For it was only through His wonderful grace that we believed in Him. Nothing we did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the gracious gift from God that brought us to Christ! so no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving."

Ephesians 2:8

Your NEW identity in Christ (Part 1)

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone , the new has come!"

2 Corinthians 5:17

What happens at SALVATION? The term "In Christ" is the terminology used in the New Testament, it is referring to a vital, union relationship with God. Once you are in that kind of a relationship with God, you become a creature. What does becoming a new creature mean? This means that there is change taking place in you, but this is not physical change, when you become a born-again Christian, it does not mean that your body changes or your look changes or your thoughts change, but this change is referring to our spirit man.

As human beings we have: Spirit, Soul and Body according to 1 Thessalonians 5:23 "May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." So this means we have the body part, which is seen, that is our outward person, we have our emotional, mental part, which scripture calls the soul, we know that even though a person may not physically touch you, but they can touch you by their words, either in a positive or negative way.

The Spirit is the part of us that is changed and is made new at salvation, this is the LIFE GIVING part according to James 2:26 "For as the body without a spirit is dead…" that shows that is the spirit that breaths life into our bodies. In Genesis 2 when God created Adam and Eve, scripture tells us that even though Adam’s body was complete, but God then breathed into him the breath of life, and Adam became a living being.
